About Your Yoga Teacher – Roberta Goldsmith

Roberta started Harmony Yoga in her living room in 2004. In 2008, she created a dedicated studio to accommodate more students. Warmth, respect for individual needs and a welcoming environment are the qualities nurtured at Harmony Yoga. Because the studio is small, class size is small with 7 students as the maximum.
Harmony Yoga students are male and female, different ages, weights, shapes and sizes. No one (including me) can throw their legs over their shoulders. One of the most important things you’ll learn is that Yoga is really not about achieving any particular pose. It’s much more about quieting your inner critic to develop a new and non judgmental relationship to your body and mind.
All you need to practice is loose comfortable clothing. It’s best to eat lightly or not at all before class. Water bottles are good if you like. Mats and props are provided but you can bring your own if you choose. If you have any questions, I love talking about Yoga and would be happy to have you email or call me.
A very friendly dog lives upstairs from the studio if allergies are an issue. Einstein is part Poodle, so his hair causes fewer allergic reactions.
